RT's Meatloaf

1 lb. ground sirloin
1 lb. ground pork
1 packet onion soup mix
2 eggs, beaten
1 TB Worchestershire sauce
1 TB Emeril's Essence (recipe below)

Mix all ingredients thoroughly and shape into loaf.

Place in loaf pan and bake in 350 F oven for one hour.

Slice and serve with Knorr's mushroom gravy made per package directions, adding a shot of Pinot Noir wine.

Serves 6-8

 

Emeril's Essence (the signature seasoning of chef Emeril Lagasse)

2 1/2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried thyme

Combine all ingredients thoroughly. Store in an airtight container.

This is available in jars now in most grocery stores, but if you have all the ingredients why buy it when you can make your own?
