Apple Crisp

Well, its just out of the good ol' Betty Crocker cookbook, but it is pretty good...especially with a scoop of vanilla or cinnamon ice cream!

4 cups sliced, pared, cored baking apples (about 6 medium)
2/3 to 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
3/4 tsp cinnamon
3/4 tsp nutmeg
1/3 cup soft butter

Heat oven to 375F.

Place sliced apples in greased 8x8x2" square pan or 10x6x1.5" baking dish, or 1 1/2qt. baking dish.

Blend remaining ingredients with fork until mixture is crumbly. Spread over apples.

Bake 30 to 35 minutes, or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown. Serve warm.

Serves 4-6
